About NickNack
I was born and raised in Pocatello Idaho. As a child I spent lots of time hunting and fishing with my Dad and my animal friends were Black Labs and the occasional kitten I would sneak into my room when my mom wasn’t looking. I have some great memories of the Field Trials my Dad would take us to because I got to take care of the pigeons and ducks that were used in the Trials.
As I got older, horses came into the picture and my younger sister and I started showing our horses at Halter and in some equestrian events. I didn’t know a right lead from a left lead but it was lots of fun and kept me out of trouble, sort of.
After I graduated from high school, I left home for the big college experience at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado to major in Food Science and Nutrition and eventually transferred to Idaho State University to finish my degree in Consumer Economics Education with an emphasis in Foods and Nutrition.
I have been involved with Miniature Schnauzers for 27 years after purchasing my first boy, “Auggie”, on a skiing trip to Colorado. He was a great dog and I was so sold on the breed that I contacted Dale Miller, the owner of his sire, Ch. Barclay Bandersnatch. I have to thank Dale for where I am at today because she sent me a beautiful little girl, Barclay Square Bundt Cake, “Angie” and the rest is history, so to speak.
During the years I have been breeding and showing minis, I have taken time out here and there for two great children, Seth and Sarah (my two greatest accomplishments) who were involved in competitive soccer and the equestrian world of competition. Now that the are grown, I have become more dedicated to my life as a Breeder/Owner/Handler or NickNack Miniature Schnauzers and what a great life it is.
